Workplace Analytics
Hi All,
I'm looking for some information on Workplace Analytics and wondered if anyone would be able to assist in answering the following as I've had no luck with direct contact at Microsoft. Specifically I'm looking to find out what the purchasing options are:
- Can Workplace Analytics be purchased as an add-on to O365 Business Premium licenses? If so:
- How can the licenses can be purchased as I’m unable to see this product via distribution or directly with Microsoft?
- Can anyone indicate the costs associated with the add-on in UK pricing / user / month
- Is there a minimum license commitment as I have seen 5k referenced in older documentation for Microsoft workplace Analytics?
Any feedback of input would be most appreciated.
Kind Regards,

This post seems to clarify what I was after also
Love the fact that Microsoft make this information so readily available.

Hi
There are some good doc's in docs.microsoft.com
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/workplace-analytics/setup/environment-requirements
These might hold the information you are looking for.
Some more on licenses here - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/workplace-analytics/setup/assign-licenses-to-population
Hope that helps

Hi Robin,
Many thanks but this is the same as Microsoft keep pointing me to. I'm only really after :
1. Confirmation of license limits or requirements
2. Purchasing options - where I can purchase licenses and via which program (Direct, CSP)
The answer to those two questions are know where to be found in any of Microsoft's resources. If anyone can answer them it would be most helpful or if anyone has the contact information of a decent MS Sales rep in the UK that would also help.
Regards
Ben

Hi
I can not see it as a stand alone license in the Licensed based pricing list. So I presume this means it comes as part of another license and certainly this line seems to say that.
"Workplace Analytics requires an Office 365 tenant with Exchange Online. Mailboxes must have Exchange Online Plan 1 or Plan 2 licenses assigned."
Therefore it could be those as a minimum and everything above as it already?
Seems very new though - good luck.

Hi Robin,
Many thanks for trying, this is the frustrating issue I'm having. I can't find the product listed anywhere under CSP, the documentation states it can be purchased as an add-on to E5 at $2 per mailbox per month or to other O365 products at $6 per mailbox / month.
It's not listed anywhere via Volume licensing or CSP and Microsoft just have a contact us landing page for Workplace Analytics which when completed just sends an automated email.
Some documenattion states there was a minimum seat count of 5k which would make this enterprise only and not suitable for my client base.
Kind Regards
Ben

I can't recal of the top of my head where i saw that but I've just stumbled across this post and Microsoft State that an Enterprise Agreement is required. There was a 5k seat limit which has now been removed accroding to this post.
It also states that consulting via Microsoft is required which probably explains why it can't just be purchased.

Job done - I think you have your answer now then.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/licensing/product-licensing/products
Also I think it's listed in there as well.
Silver lining is that it appears they may be rolling this out wider over time as well.
Kudos? 🙂
Thanks
Robin
