Indirect CSP resell CSP Azure subscription
Hi Everyone!
We are a small Indirect CSP working on our first managed service offering.
The offering leverages sentinel and other components that we need to deploy within our customers Azure enviroment.
We want to give our customer the convenience of a single invoice, and I believe that reselling an azure subscription as a 2-tier reseller is the way to achieve that. ref: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/offers/ms-azr-0145p/
Problem is the CSP I am working with does not seem to understand what I am looking for.
Does anyone have experience doing this? Maybe I am misunderstanding how this should work.
Equally if there is a CSP in that operates in North America that has a focus on this sort of channel relationship then feel free to name drop.
Thanks!

Hi @Modfather - provisioning licenses/subscriptions and creating new customer tenants is done via the providers portal. You can use Partner Center for sending reseller relationship invite to customers with existing tenants and access the customer tenants for management.
Note also that you can multiple providers, you do not have to commit to only one. So I'll recommend to contact a few and check which has the proper level of expertise and good support experience - in my opinion those things are much more important than for example the discount levels they promise.
Tip: Talk to your provider if they will set up the reseller relationship for your Partner Center automatically when you provision a customer in their portal (so you donÄt have to send one from your Partner Center as additional step) and especially ask them if they can set permissions on Azure subscriptions automatically for your Partner tenant when you provision those - by default only the provider will have set permissions and not all providers allow for customization of this - if they can do this it will reduce the number of steps you will have to do to provision your solution.

I thought I had but it turns out I had not. Have done so now and discovered there is a "Indirect Providers" option under CSP in the customer portal where I should be connected with an indirect provider. The provider I have been talking with never mentioned any of this to me.
Do you know if I will be able to self-service "provision" the azure subscriptions from partner center once I have this connection in place or is it typically done directly through the indirect provider?
Thanks!

It really sounds like reselling the Azure subscription to your offering as 2-Tier Indirect Reseller CSP is the best option for your scenario. You can find a list of potential Indirect providers to connect with here: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-US/membership/cloud-solution-provider/find-a-provider.
Did you already register`/enroll as Indirect CSP Reseller?
