Announcing Microsoft Viva Sales general availability

Announcing Microsoft Viva Sales general availability

Summary

On October 3, Microsoft Viva Sales will go live for customer purchase and general availability. Viva Sales is a seller experience application that enables sellers to use Microsoft 365 applications and Microsoft Teams to automatically capture, access, and register data into any CRM system, eliminating the administrative burden of manual data entry and giving sellers more time to focus on selling. By enriching the data set with customer engagement data from Microsoft 365 and the power of AI, Viva Sales empowers sellers with sales intelligence that helps them deeply understand their customers for faster deal closure.

The disclosure of the general availability date was announced at a Microsoft-hosted event on Thursday, September 22. During this event, Satya Nadella, Ryan Roslansky (CEO of LinkedIn), and Jared Spataro (CVP of Modern Work) presented on Empowering your Workforce in Economic Uncertainty.

The Viva Sales general availability release capabilities will allow customers to:

  • Eliminate manual data entry by syncing customer engagement data to Dynamics 365 or Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate with colleagues on customer records within Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook
  • Create more impactful customer meetings with AI-powered insights in Teams

On October 3, users will be able to go to the Microsoft Viva pricing page or the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales Pricing page and purchase Viva Sales for $40 per user per month. Dynamics 365 Sales Premium and Enterprise users will have Viva Sales automatically included in their license and will need to enable it through the Microsoft 365 admin center. View the instructional video on how enable it.

Product Roadmap

While Microsoft is excited to make Viva Sales available to all, they want to acknowledge that this is only the beginning of the innovation. Microsoft has received helpful feedback throughout public preview, and Viva Sales updates will be released on a regular cadence moving forward.
