Intune HELL
Hello. I am hoping I am not alone in being extremely confused with the switch from the legacy Silverlight console Intune product and the new Azure Intune? I have 100's of client PC's that have the old Intune client installed and also new PC's on my bench that I am trying to configure the the new Intune. I have been on the phone with MS support since last week and I still haven't had any success with any direction on how to proceed.
I need to be able to push out security updates and monitor the PC's with the Azure Intune product like I did with the old Intune product. Is this possible? We can't even get the new Intune on the older PC's becasue they say "already enrolled" due to the legacy Intune client.
Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

You can not push updates via Intune, you can only configure update policies on Clients.
Check out the documentation here on how old portal features map with the new ones:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/ui-changes
Also you need to make sure that you remove the legacy Intune client and then re-add devices to Intune afterwards via AzureAD registration/MDM (Azure AD Join, Hybrid join, or manually adding workplace account).
