PAL registration in Customer Azure Tenancy says my MPN ID is invalid?

Hi,

I am trying to associate our Partner MPN ID with one of our customers in their Azure tenancy:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/link-partner-id

I get an error saying that MPN ID is invalid, which it clearly is not.

See https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AJHSZxen8ie0gtM&cid=407E5B90C0F944D2&id=407E5B90C0F944D2%21684380&parId=407E5B90C0F944D2%21684360&o=OneUp  (MPN ID blurred)

They have created a set of user accounts for the consultants that are working on their subscription. We are building an enterprise Data Lake in a Resource Group and we have a mix of Owner and Contributor rights on different Resource Groups.

Another Infrastructure consultancy who created the Subscription has their MPN ID assigned as the single DPOR for the account. There's a mix vendors working on their Subscription but we are the only ones building the Data Lake.

Any help on why it thinks it is not valid would be appreicated.

Regards

Rodney

You need to use the MPN ID for one of your locations. They have a separate ID for each location that you have.

Thank you, that was the problem. I only have 1 location and it's not very intuitive!

I had the same issue the first time I came to do it. Not obvious from the documentation and I think it was just that I'd been in the partner portal looking at something else that I realised that actually we had multiple ID's and just tried for our main location and it worked.
