Is there any information or insights regarding the availability of Azure Dev/Test pricing in CSP? Is this something on the roadmap?
Cheers, Martijn E.

Hi all,
During the last Licensing Update (May 27th) provided by the great Louise Ulrick, it was noted that Dev/Test pricing is indeed not available for CSP yet. She shared that it's on the roadmap for in the future. Hopefully we get more information from Microsoft soon!

Last week I joined a Microsoft workshop that happened to addressed this topic. There it's stated that Dev/Test pricing is expected to be introduced sometime H2 FY22. So it's close and coming soon!

So late 2022 and no update on this? Killing the CSP options for selling here by neglecting to allow us to offer this option. Customers want to consolidate billing and our option is to give CSP for PROD and Dev/Test has to go to MCA?

Hello,
This thread started in May 2020, as it was announced that Dev/Test pricing not available at the time would be coming soon (see below). I have not seen a response to this day... it is still planned to be introduced in CSP in FY22 H2?
And will Dev/Test subscription still be available under the New Commerce Experience? Thanks.

It has been a long thread, submitted already so long ago.. and still we don't have any more information. Recent inquiry (Jan 2022) with Microsoft also stated that Dev/Test pricing is still not available via CSP. I guess we'll have to wait even a little longer..
But please also get in contact with Microsoft yourself and share your feedback. If more partners address this topic, they might be more willing to work on it

What about Azure Plan for DevTest (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/offers/ms-azr-0148g/)? Is it available for CSPs?

At the moment, Dev/Test pricing in CSP for Azure (classic) and Azure Plan is not yet available.

Hi Matijn,
do you know if there is anything on the Roadmap to make such offers available fpr CSP-Partners (Direct & Indirect)?
It is very frustrating not to have the availabilty yet when the talk with potential customers get to this point 😞
Thank you in advance!
Cheers,
Flo

Who is this service for then? Azure Plan for DevTest
On official site there is an FAQ below with those sentence:
"You get Azure Plan for DevTest when you sign the Microsoft Customer Agreement. The Enterprise DevTest offer is available only to Enterprise Agreement customers."
As I understand - this is not DevTest for Enterprise but for customers with Azure Plan.

Azure Plan does not mean CSP, it means only that customer obtained Azure under an MCA type of contract.
There is MCA in "breath Motion, aka "Partner-Led", aka CSP - where this offer is not yet available. it is planned, but no concrete ETA yet.
For MCA in "Enterprise Motion", aka "Field-Led" or "Microsoft-Led", the replacement to deprecated EA/SCE agreements for Azure, it is available.
In some regions, and soon everywhere, customers buying via credit card will buy Azure Plan under MCA in "Self-Service Motion", aka "MCA Customer-Led", for those there is also Azure Plan Dev/Test available - replaces the PAYG Dev/Test option customer could buy so far under Online Services Agreement.

We are a Systems Integrator positioning our CSP to a Microsoft ISV who uses the MCA Dev/test pricing for both their Basic dev/test IP on Azure and their Standard dev/test IP on Azure. My question is this: Is their a migration path available for this ISV to move both their Basic and Standard IP from their current MCA Dev/test pricing to our CSP pricing WHILE retaining their IP for both Basic and Standard? if so, I would appreciate a procedure for doing this.
Thanks!

@VisionetD365 : If you accept that under CSP they will not have discounted Dev/Test pricing, you can provision CSP subscriptions to their current tenant and then move resources to the new CSP subscription. Azure DevOps can be relinked to a different subscription also if they use this.

Hi Janosch. here's a follow-up question: Q1: Can we move a standard public IP from client subscription to CSP and retain the public IP in new susbcription. ( as per documentation seen , we understand this is possible for Basic SKU and not Standard SKU). Could msft help in retaining the same public IP and Q2: can the client retain their devtest subscription and pricing ( directly with existing MCA) , even though their prod enthronement has moved to CSP subscription? Thank in advance for your helpful info. Best regards, Joe

As I understand you have standard load balancer that can't be moved, correct? I'm not sure if support can help with retaining the public IP, I would raise a ticket on that and ask.
On the other question - the customer can have subscription as from different channels in the same tenant, so they can have a Dev/test subscription from MCA side by side to prod subscription via CSP.

It would be good to have this resolved. How are CSPs meant to provide good service to our customers if we can't resell the right licenses.

I agree that it would be great to have the offering more complete, it was decided not to have this specific offering for now.
Would be interested to learn what kind of value-added service you are providing for customer that are using Dev/Test offering. Are you designing the development environment or DevOps flow for them? Reason I'm asking is because CSP being a program for Partners providing value-add services the decision to have such offering always depends on the business scenarios where this would be useful.
Also in CSP you can not sell the Visual Studio Subscriptions required to make use of a dev/test azure subscription offer - what is the scenario for your customers? Do they have Visual Studio already using other channels?
