Shared vision, shared success at Microsoft Inspire
Over the past few months we’ve shared the exciting news that, for the first time, Microsoft Inspire and Microsoft Ready, the annual Microsoft sales, marketing, and technical fiscal kick-off, are going to be held in the same city during the same week.
This co-location will create multiple opportunities for partners and field teams to connect, learn, and collaborate on solutions that will accelerate the digital transformation and success of our customers. These shared experiences will add another dimension to the content-rich learning experience for which Microsoft Inspire is traditionally known. At this year’s Microsoft Inspire we will focus on three key ingredients to enable building and growing profitable businesses.
- Innovation—At the core of digital transformation and with the intelligent edge and intelligent cloud, computing is getting imbedded in every aspect of our lives—in every home, business and every industry—creating unprecedented opportunity for partners to expand their customer solutions.
- Partnership—Demonstrating how expanding business capabilities and profitability opens up new channels for partner collaboration and solution aggregation to capitalize on the $20T digital transformation opportunity.
- Leadership—Bringing world class expertise to help today’s leaders keep up with an everaccelerating rate of innovation while maintaining business excellence.
I anticipate that this year’s conference will be perhaps the most rewarding ever for partners seeking new ways to accelerate success. Partners will discover countless opportunities to network, connect with Microsoft, hear from thought leaders and IT visionaries, and gain insight into Microsoft’s vision and strategy for the future.
Watch this video to hear why some of our veteran Microsoft Inspire attendees are particularly excited about this year’s conference due to the co-location with Microsoft Ready.

“The fact that Microsoft is bringing these two big conferences together is really powerful. It says a lot about their partnering strategy and how important it is to bring the Microsoft field together with their partner ecosystem to fuel great customer solutions.”

A very full week of learning and events
The shared experiences between Microsoft Inspire and Microsoft Ready attendees will be integrated into what has always been a very full schedule of sessions, workshops, speakers, and networking events. With so much happening, advance planning is essential to having the most productive conference experience. To help you get started on your planning, here is a brief overview of what to expect day to day in this year’s Microsoft Inspire.
Sunday, July 15
Most attendees will be arriving and checking in this day. There will be pre-event meetings, such as an orientation for the First Time Attendee program, which matches partners attending their first conference with veteran attendee mentors. In the evening, our Welcome Reception in The Commons will enable attendees to relax and socialize after their day of travel, while also checking out the Microsoft Showcase, Partner Network Booth, and our sponsors and exhibitors.
Monday, July 16
The conference gets into full swing with the first of our daily Corenotes, at which Microsoft executives and other industry leaders will provide a look into the business and technology trends driving the digital transformation opportunity. In our first full day of sessions, we will hold breakout sessions, panel discussion, workshops, and theater sessions, focused on the main solution areas and enabling networking among other partners and Microsoft employees. Partner attendees will have the opportunity to meet with more than 3,000 invited Microsoft managers who will be participating in Commercial Manager Meetings. In the evening, networking will continue at our daily Happy Hour in The Commons.
Tuesday, July 17
Partners will hear more from Microsoft leadership at our second Corenote. The day will also feature additional opportunities for partners to meet with Microsoft managers, and the Women in Technology Luncheon. After a day of sessions and connections, we will come together at the Happy Hour in The Commons. The evening will feature shared Area Celebrations that provide an opportunity for Microsoft Inspire and Microsoft Ready attendees to build relationships within their region.
Wednesday, July 18
At our concluding Corenote, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will address an audience of both partners and Microsoft employees, for the first time ever, helping to ensure that the collective global Microsoft community shares the same vision. Wednesday will also feature additional highly anticipated shared experiences, starting with the Area General Sessions and concluding with the One Celebration. The Area General Sessions will be open to all partners and Microsoft Ready attendees and will help partners learn about region-specific strategies and initiatives. In the afternoon, there will be exciting sessions segmented by industry and other key topics to enhance networking opportunities between partners and Microsoft employees. In the evening, the One Celebration at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway will bring together Microsoft Inspire and Microsoft Ready attendees for an evening of food and fun, featuring entertainment by an internationally acclaimed, Grammy-winning musical artist.
