Which offer type to choose and where to publish is it Marketplace or Appsource?

There is an offer which has Azure components such as Event Hub, DataBricks, Azure Synapse and results in a Power BI visualization with reports/recommendations. There is a dependency with input data which will be available on customer on-premise systems. But the solution is targeted for certain industry. So we are confused on which offer type( will this be Saas offering or Azure App? ) and Will this need to be published in Marketplace or Appsource or both?

Hi Priyanka,

The storefront (Microsoft AppSource or Azure Marketplace) is predominantly determined based on the offer type. Anything that deploys into an Azure tenant will be in Azure Marketplace, and anything that integrates with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, or the Power Platform will be in Microsoft AppSource. There are two nuances to this rule: Consulting Services can be found in both as determined by the relevant product, and SaaS can be found in both as determined by the relevant customer audience (categories).

So I would suggest prioritizing the technical requirements to determine the optimal delivery model. SaaS is the most flexible, but for integration with a customer's environment, an Azure App (Solution Template or Managed App) may be better.

Can you share a bit more insight into the technical requirements?
