A study of 1,200 retailers showed that "resilient" retailers use a mix of advanced technologies like AI, retail media, dynamic pricing, and autonomous stores in greater proportion than those who are "not resilient". Resilient retailers focus on the end customer experience and put frontline workers at the center of their operations, with supply chain disruption seen as the top threat to future resiliency.
Microsoft is partnering with AiFi to provide retailers with e-commerce level shopper analytics for the physical space with Smart Store Analytics. Store Operations Assist is aimed at empowering store associates and increasing customer satisfaction by providing a single view of store operations.
