Microsoft Software Assurance Deployment Planning Services Extranet...Disappeared!
Since last week, the url https://planningservices.partners.extranet.microsoft.com now redirects to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/software-assurance-dps.
Microsoft just broke support for their Partners. Even the resources page has been killed off: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-ca/solutions/exchange-online
We have at least one engineer tonight sending out emails to our team, asking where he can get access to materials to deliver a Exchange Deloyment PLanning Services (EDPS) a workshop tomorrow.
All of the PPT decks, pre-engagement questionnaires, planning calculators…have all gone.
We might be faced with having to use Demo tenants to deliver some of these design engagements (https://cdx.transform.microsoft.com/experiences)
Hello @stuinsight ,
Thank you very much for pointing out the broken links.
A ticket has been submitted to resolve this link, I will get back with feedback as soon as I get it: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-ca/solutions/exchange-online.
Meanwhile, please check these resources, let me know if it helps:
The software assurance documentation is the correct link. Is there any information in particular that you are looking for ?
I don't think you understand the issue.
This has nothing to do with Exchange. That's only one component of the DPS offering.
The entire Deployment Planning Service website and all of the resources for ALL DPS resources has been taken down.
Thank you for clarifying, I have addressed the issues (broken links), based on the indications from your previous post.
I investigted further and you should acccess the official site for Software Assurance Planning Services for more details: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-US/Marketing/planning-services
According to this page, Starting February 2020, we’re updating our Software Assurance benefits to modernize certain services and simplify redemptions.
These changes begin February 1, 2020 and will gradually be fully implemented by January 1, 2022, hence I encourage you to read this FAQ and this resource for in-depth information regarding DPS changes and next steps.
Hope this helps,
Did we ever get this issue resolved? We're needing to deliver a PVDPS engagement and we are also looking for the engagement guide(s) and deliverable document templates. The responses above are unimpressive.
Here's the response I got. I fired back that this was pretty bad form, as the program is still active until next January:
"As a Planning Services partner, you provide on-site expertise to help your customers plan their next Microsoft technologies deployment. Using the resources provided for each engagement, you can evaluate offers that best deploy an array of Microsoft solutions and I'd like to let you know that I truly appreciate you for being an active service provider and I’d love to see that continue.
The predefined customer deliverable templates are no longer provided for Planning Services engagements. Your company must draft custom planning documents, then deliver them to your customer(s) and to Microsoft."
