Current Office 365 customer adding two companies also on O365 - how to best merge?
we have a customer currently on Office 365 for business email and they recently acquired two separate companies. These other companies are also on Office 365 in separate tenants. they would like to migrate these two separate company subscriptions into their account so they can manage all accounts, domain names, users with their master account. Does Microsoft offer a service for migrating customers to another tenant? If so, how does it work - any downtime, cost, issues? Or to get this done do we need to manually migrate and recreate all new accounts (a ton of work)?

Microsoft does not offer a service for migrating the data between tenants. So you would need to use a 3rd party solution from Microsoft Partners that offer tenant to tenant migration. Also you will evaluate if there is a sync from local AD to AzureAD for any of those companies - which then might require to redesign the onpremises AD (e.g. AD forest trusts). Mergign tenants is really not an easy process sometimes because there might ba lot more to consider then just moving the data.
Microsoft might be able to help you reg. moving the licenses between tenants - they can contact billing support to get guidance on that.
