Many cities and central government institutions all over the world have the same challenges; they are complex and have many moving parts. Infrastructure, public transportation, housing, construction and sustainability: all of these elements need to be factored into daily business activities. This task can be overwhelming, and that’s where you need to take your first step towards being a truly smart city: gaining an overview. It helps to have a clear understanding of the components that make up your city, by adding a layer of information consisting of data.
Today, technology has made it cost effective to precisely digitise an entire city’s roads, sidewalks, crosswalks, ramps, bike lanes, lampposts, parking areas, taxi and rideshare pickup points as well as all traffic signals, signage and road markings, and more. Once digitised, a complete survey of the current situation can be used to construct a digital twin of a city.

In this webinar Anna van den Breemer- Kleene, Government lead at Microsoft will talk about the general trends and developments within the public sector.
Duncan Guthrie VP Europe of Cyclomedia will give an overview of how data can help cities to gain valuable insights and make informed decisions to improve cities.
Finally Falco Joosten, Product Manager of Cyclomedia will demo Street Smart, the online webviewer of Cyclomedia, that gives access to your cities data and digital twin.
