Episode 104: Microsoft Cloud and Hosting Partner Online Meeting | Windows Virtual Desktop, News, Partner Updates

Thanks for attending the October Cloud & Hosting Partner Online Meeting in which our focus topic was “Monetizing Azure Opportunities in SMB”.  We also shared a good long list of face to face and online training and readiness across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure, as well as the usual segments on Licensing, Technical and Industry News.  The presentation and associated content is now available in the Community OneDrive at http://aka.ms/chpom.

Before looking at details for our November Online Meeting I’d like to take a moment to remind you of a couple of Licensing webinars run by the Licensing School.  Firstly, the CSP Spotlight run on October 10 that covered the new Microsoft Customer Agreement, Azure Plans, Price Lists and Invoicing, and Cost Management. You can access the recording of this outstanding session via this link. And the second webinar is a Licensing Update that was run on October 16.  You can register to watch the recording via this link.

And now to our November Online Meeting in which the focus topic will be “Windows Virtual Desktop” that became Generally Available (GA) in early October.  In this segment we’ll firstly look at the Partner Opportunity for Windows Virtual Desktop before talking through a Customer Ready presentation you can use.  The Customer Ready presentation covers the market opportunity, what Windows Virtual Desktop actually is, some of the key technical features offered in support of Microsoft Office 365 Pro Plus, and how customers are eligible to access the service.  As always, the online meeting will also cover the latest licensing and program news, and look at forthcoming online and in person events in the “News, Views and Venues” segment.

Episode 104 of the Cloud & Hosting Partner Online Meetings is scheduled for Wednesday November 6, 2019, 1:00-2:00pm Melbourne time.  This session will be for about 60 minutes.

Thanks to all of you that attended the Online Meeting on Wednesday November 6.  We certainly covered a lot in the hour including some of the highlights from Ignite, a long list of Training and Readiness events across the 3 clouds, and an excellent set of new tables that help understand Office 365 E3, EM+S E3, Windows E3, M365 E3 and the step up to the 5 series.  The slides from the meeting are now available in the Community OneDrive at http://aka.ms/chpom . You'll also find the Customer Ready PowerPoint for "Windows Virtual Desktop".

Details for the December 4 Online Meeting will be sent out early next week.  if you aren't already receiving the invitation let me, philme@microsoft.com, know and I'll add you to the list.

Have a good weekend, Phil
