Updated guidance for purchasing Microsoft cloud services. Over the past year, we have heard feedback from our partners and customers regarding increased confusion as to when the Cloud Solution Provider program is the proper licensing mechanism for purchasing Microsoft cloud services, versus the Enterprise Agreement or other enterprise purchasing motions. Our partners and customers are not always clear which purchasing option and contract vehicle is most appropriate, particularly when it comes to purchasing cloud services. Likewise, our customers are confused when they see a partner and a Microsoft seller competing for the same opportunity. That’s why Microsoft has recently released updated version of cloud services purchasing guidance for partners and customers – to create clarity and provide guidance on the differences between the breadth and enterprise motions and which may be best suited for a customer’s needs.

Azure subscriptions transition options and tools. Azure subscription can be purchased as a legacy Azure offer via various sales motions (Enterprise (EA) and Breadth (CSP)). As we are transforming commerce experience for our customers, it is important to understand which transition options and tools exist for various scenarios, based on the offer (legacy or Azure Plan) and sales motion (Enterprise vs Breadth). This will enable partners to support customers in their migrations to a simpler and richer modern commerce experience.

Selling licenses for traditional software products in CSP. Perpetual software licenses are available for selling for all partners in CSP program starting from January 2021. At the webinar we will explain how the Server perpetual licenses in CSP program differ from the Server subscriptions in CSP program and which option would suit best in the specific customer scenarios.
