Hello. Can somebody provide me with a link to SAM Microsoft Data Processing Guide? Customer would like to know Microsoft documents how their delivered during SAM processed by partner are processed by Microsoft. I cannot find this link.
Thank You in advance!
When you want to know how Microsoft handles customer data, please follow the link Per shared. When you want to know 'what' data is shared with Microsoft during a SAM project / process, please see all the different Value Engagements here (in the Statement of Work is written down what data has to be shared): https://partner.microsoft.com/en-ca/licensing/software-asset-management
Thank You for answer @Peter_van_Uden . In fact question from customer is not which data wil be shared in SAM Infrasctucter Optimization process, but how data will be handled, where (by MS declaration- not in EU only) & for which purpose. Simply saying- if data are processed for special purpose- by GDPR requirement there shall be declared: who (to entity level), where & for which reason. This is why they need document & I found references to Microsoft SAM Data Processing Guide, but cannot find this document directly
Maybe this websit with a lot on information on Microsoft GDPR compliance (a lot about cloud services though) might help: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/TrustCenter/Privacy/gdpr/gdpr-overview In other cases, please contact your SAM Engagement Manager to let him/her with Microsoft legal draft a statement which will comfort your customer on privacy. I'm out of other options on this point, sorry.
As there is no need to share anything with Microsoft anymore, except the report that you as a partner create and the Letter Of Engagement, there is no need to share documents with the customer any more.
The SAM Report will not contain (much) privacy sensitive information (like user accounts and such), but still I can imagine that a customer wants to know how Microsoft handles this information. Hence, there is no EDP/ELP more to share, agree on that one.
