Microsoft Partner Agreement official non-renewal notice and transition terms
Impacted Audience: Onboarded Indirect Resellers
Dear Indirect Resellers of the Cloud Solution Provider Program:
If your company has participated in the Cloud Solution Provider Program as the Indirect Reseller of an Indirect Provider, then your company may have executed the “Terms and Conditions Governing Indirect Resellers” (the “Indirect Reseller Terms”).
The Indirect Reseller Terms provides that Microsoft may terminate the such without cause by giving your company 30 day’s prior notice of such. This communication is our written notification to you that Microsoft does intend to terminate your agreement without cause effective as of August 31, 2019.
After that date, the MPA will be the agreement enabling partners to act as the Indirect Resellers of Indirect Providers under the Cloud Solution Provider Program. We encourage you to execute the MPA as soon as it becomes available.
You must execute the MPA prior to January 31, 2020, to ensure no disruption of your authorization to accept orders from new or existing customers under the CSP program.
In order to facilitate your transition to the MPA, Microsoft offers you the option to continue operating under terms identical to the terms of your terminating Indirect Reseller Terms, but only until the sooner of (i) January 31, 2020, or (ii) the date on which your company executes the MPA.
Question: What is this notice and what needs to be done exactly? need guidannce please !
July-August 19* - Review the new MPA agreement when its made available in Partner Centre
Sept 19 - Jan 2020* - Sign the new MPA agreement
If the above is not signed by 31st Jan 2020 you will no longer be able to place orders through CSP.
At least, this is my take from it.
P.S @Microsoft thank you for sending this to our indirect resellers without warning. This on the back of the horrendous distribution to indirect resellers ref the MFA security implementation, again without much warning (face palm).
