I have a customer who is begging for a rename of their tenant. They currently have around 5500 sites including OneDrive personal sites.
They are asking if they delete 500 users (empty) personal sites to get below the limit, if it would be safe to continue the rename. They do understand that they would be unable to restore the sites and would just re-assign the OneDrive license and allow it to recreate.
