HTAs after June 2022
With Internet Explorer's final & thankful demise coming up in a few months, we have an enterprise customer with many thousands of seats still in the process of migrating their legacy HTA-based applications to modern code. While their code "works" in Edge IE compatibility mode, it's not pretty & has severe limitations. Their question is, with full understanding that IE will no longer be supported at all, will HTAs be disabled or otherwise made unavailable once IE's support date ends? Please don't slam or shame them, MANY enterprises are in the same boat, they plan to be off HTAs in a ~year, but for now this is where they find themselves. Thank you...
