@chamikaoshan : See the answer from Per two posts above - there is no process for that, this is up to the decision of the local subsidiary.

Kind regards, Janosch

Hi Andy,

I suggest that you contact your local Microsoft subsidiary in case you want to become a dsitributor.

Please note that Microsoft are very seldom adding more distributors.

Dear Chandan, easiest way is to sign up with a distributor. Through a distributor you will be able to sell most Microsoft licenses. A few examples of distributors are Ingram, Techdata and Also.

I have a question that: if our seller is a gold partner of Microsoft, will we become an authorised reseller of Microsoft automatically or we have to register with our distributor to become a reseller? In case having to register, how procedure of registration?

Hi @Phanvan !

No, it has nothing to do with that as you will need to earn the badge yourself (btw Gold is going away this month).

You should buy from a distributor and you will need to have a reseller agreement with them which has little to do with Microsoft. But you should also be part of the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program that is the new name for the Microsoft Partner Network so that you start to build a relationship with Microsoft (the cost if zero for the basic level of membership) and if you want to resell CSP you should sign an appendix for that in the Microsoft portal.

Hope that helps!

Hi @PerWerngren,

I registered to become a Microsoft Partner as below picture and waited for more than 1 week at business verification step.

Please tell me what's my problem here?

Many thanks

Hi @Phanvan !

Sometimes this is complicated, and you might want to submit a support ticket in the portal.

In order to make this verification to work you will need to have a legal entity (i.e. some kind of company) officially registered in your country and that is officially verifiable with a company registration number (this have different names across the world).

You will also need to control your own email domain (i.e. not Gmail etc).

Hope that helps!

Hi @PerWerngren,

I registered with registration number of my company (a legal entity in my country) already

So, now I just need wait the verification from Microsoft?
Or do I need to do anything?

Hi again @Phanvan,

I understand that you're located in Vietnam and it might take longer for Microsoft to process applications from your country. My suggestion is that you file a support ticket in the partner portal.

Hi @PerWerngren

Sorry for my missing your reply

But I not yet get your point about "file a support ticket in the partner portal."

Could you help me to explain more details?

You can submit your ticket here for help: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-US/support/?stage=1

Hi @Phanvan - in the partnerportal (partner.microsoft.com) you will find a question mark "?" in the upper right corner. That's where you start the process, you can then click on "Contact Support" on the bottom of the window that just opened.

I hit reply but not sure if this posts a message to just this person, or eveybody on this thread?

That link is broken now, I assume it will get fixed one day, this one might get you that information:

Sign up for Partner Network to learn more on products and service offerings.

https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/pcv/register/joinnow/enrollmentwelcome/valueaddedreseller

for details on reselling products and services also check www.techdata.com and www.ingrammicro.com

Hey @EricDouglas ,

Thanks a lot for chiming in!

Yes, on the Microsoft Partner Community, if you hit reply to a post it will be visible for all users.

There is not need to reply multiple times with the same content, as this can be considered spamming.

(Feel free to review our Community Guidelines.😀)

I shall remove the redundant posts, no worries.

You mentioned there is a broken link, can you please indicate which one in order for me to review and amend if possible ?

Thank you,

Andra

Hi Akhilesh,

I don't know which country you operate in so I cannot give you a country specific link.

But please check www.techdata.com and www.ingrammicro.com for contact details in your country. Then just phone them up and ask to talk to the people onboarding new resellers for Microsoft services and software.
