Gold Partner Microsoft

Hi,

My question is about the certifications within the Microsoft Partner Network. I wonder how the date is set when evaluating if an employee who earned a particular certification can be counted for the Gold Partner for instance. Let's say I have the 70-778 certification which is valid for competencies until 31st January 2022- in this case will I be part of the headcount for Partnership evaluation ?

Also what is the date in the year when Microsoft evaluate the number of certfications passed in a specific company ? Does it depend on the various certifications ?

Many thanks !

@Anonymous ,

I understood the question however this is not an information that I have.

As far as I know, competencies should be renewed yearly.

To attain a competency, partner must:

  • Pass required exams and skill validation.
  • Meet performance requirements.
  • Pay the annual fee.

Partner Center shows exactly what exams and certifications are required to attain the competency.

Support can advise specifically for that organization though.

As a general information about competencies and requirements, please read more here, scroll at the end of the page: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/membership/compare-offers

and here:

Thank you,

Andra

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

However I am not able to post my question in the link provided because I do not have a partner account myself.

Kind regards

Hi @Anonymous ,

I understand, allow me to explain:

Frontline Support is available to registered partners that face various issues with their Partner account, membership etc.

To access this service you need to be a Microsoft Partner.

The Microsoft Partner Community (this site) is not a technical support platform, but rather a place to connect with partners, network and share best practices. As you registered recently I recommend you read our welcome note: https://www.microsoftpartnercommunity.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/WelcomeGuidelines

There are three levels in the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN). They are Member, Silver Competency or Gold Competency. It's super easy to become a member and it is also free so that's where you start. As you then specialize and can demonstrate capabilities in a certain area you can qualify for a Silver or Gold Competency.

You will find all information here: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-US/membership

So if you wish to become a Microsoft Partner and meet the requirements, please have a look at this documentation prior: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/mpn-overview

Hope this helps,

Andra

Hi,

Many thanks for your reply.

Basically the company I am referring to has already the Gold Competency.

My question was more about the date at which the level of Compentency is reviewed, more specifically which date is taken into account to assess this level: is it the retirement date or the end of validity for competency date ?

I hope I am clear

Cheers !
