Changing Partner Portal Roles for customer authorization

Hello everbody,

 

more and more SaaS customers of us are having problem with authorizing us as a partner in their tenant due to the fact that they give us the global admin role.

Is their a way to edit the roles (for example authorize only as helpdesk-admin)?

 

I would like to know if other partners are having this discussions with their customers, too and if Microsoft is planning to enhance the Partner Portal Permission options (e.g. restricting access to certain customers or chossing the role, the customer is authorizing). As far as I know their are currently only two ways: authorizing as global admin and heldesk-admin or authorize without roles, which gives us no access to the customer environment.
