Announcing the availability of Dun & Bradstreet number lookup in MPN enrollment
Earlier this month, the general availability of "Lookup before create using Dun & Bradstreet number" in the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) during enrollment was officially launched. This new feature in partner center is a step towards reducing business verification failures and manual requests for business verification.
What is Dun & Bradstreet/DUNS?
Dun & Bradstreet Corporation is recognizable for its Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS numbers); It generates business information reports for more than 100 million companies around the globe. Duns and Bradstreet Number (DUNB) is a widely accepted unique 9 digit identifier for businesses across the globe. It uniquely identifies a company from any other in the D&B data cloud.
What has changed?
During MPN enrollment partners used to manually provide their company information. Manual entry of address information can be error prone, and an incorrect address will lead to failures in business verification or manual reviews. By integrating the MPN enrollment pages with the MCAPI DUNS API, new partners signing up for MPN now have an option to search for their company profile using their DUNS number or company details.
