SCOM 2016 Site-to-Site HA Design - When SQL Clustering is not supported
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience or advise in developing a High Availability solution for System Center Operations Manager 2016 without using SQL Clusters?
I am working for a client who is in a situation where they have a SAN at two datacenters but the SAN apparently does not support WSFC for Always On SQL DB clustering.
The onsite engineer has suggested a design where we set up SCOM 2016 at Site A to monitor Site B and a seperate installation at Site B to monitor Site A.
I am not sure how this would work in a situation where Site A goes down (hardware failure) OR the link between Site A and Site B DC's is broken (single point of failure??).
Any guidance in the best design would be apprecaited?
Thanks,
James
