Today we are announcing a new pledge. If you are a commercial or public sector customer in the EU, we will not need to move your data outside the EU for you to use our core cloud services. We’re calling this plan the EU Data Boundary for the Microsoft Cloud, and we’re beginning work on it immediately. This builds on our already strong portfolio of privacy solutions and commitments for customers who want even greater data residency capabilities. This is part of our commitment to the EU’s vision for a “Europe Fit for the Digital Age” and part of our work to help build “Tech Fit 4 Europe.”
