How can I change our Azure Marketplace Category Listing?

Can anyone advise on how to change the category of how an offering is listed on Azure Marketplace?

  • Current Category Type: Management Tools
  • Future Category Listing: Data & AI

Ah, my guess is that it's related to the scenario I mentioned about changing the category being a relatively substantial update. Please submit a support ticket, and a specialist will help you.

Hey Alex - are you familiar with Cloud Partner Portal (CPP) where you create and manage marketplace offerings?

 

If you have an account to access CPP, you will find a list of your offerings and can make updates there. Depending on the change it may go through a review again to ensure that the categorization aligns with the solution. This is just to make sure we have accurate filtering and stuff in the storefront.

 

Out of curiosity, has the offering changed, are you seeking to reach a different audience, or is it an update to fix the categorization?

 

If you submit a request through the marketplace publisher support team, a specialist will follow up and walk you through the process. Marketplace Support for Publishers

Hi Brian,

I am familiar with Cloud Partner Portal.  The issue is that you can only change the suggest categories however it does not allow you to change the Category Type on CPP.

 

Our offering has not changed, I am trying to update to the correct category.
