PAL: deep understanding
Hello,
As PAL (http://aka.ms/partneradminlink) is more and more important for Performance and Incentives, I need to confirm how it runs.
As I read in this link, and during my tests, any people who has access to the tenant via the Azure portal can add any MPN ID as PAL. That is either customer users C1 (a customer employee) and C2 (an account created in the tenant for an employee of the partner) or partner users P1 and P2 authorized as Guests or even any Guests G1 and G2: true ?
Any of C1, C2, P1, P2, G1, G2 can add any MPN ID or even the same 123456 as PAL: true ?
As my test subscriptions have no consumption, I cannot check further how PAL is applied.
So my first question (the next ones will depend on the answer to this one !)
All 6 of C1, C2, P1, P2, G1 and G2 have added as PAL the same MPN ID 123456 to the tenant and have at least contributor rights on one resource: will all resources associated to any of them will count for partner 123456 or only those associated to P1 and P2 because these accounts belong to the tenant associated to the Partner Center 123456 ?
Many thanks

Unfortunately there is no way to check which user and for which resources PAL is set - PAL can only seen by the user, not by any other person. So confirmation on how this is split, besides the Incentives Guides, can only happen indirectly by looking in the Incentives payout report and comparing those with the actual consumption.

All/Any of them will count, it does not matter if it as guest account from a Partner or an account sourced from the customer tenant. Incentives and revenue recognition will only happens once though, not multiple times.
Having multiple people associated with PAL is usually only necessary if the user have separate permissions (e.g. C1 is Contributor on Resource Group A, and P1 is contributor on Resource Group B)
If there are multiple, different Partners associated (and Users have access to the same resources) afaik each will get recognition for the influenced revenue in full, but Incentives may be split, details are documented in the Azure Commerce Incentive Guide here https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/membership/partner-incentives

Hi Janosch,
This is very clear and as I was understanding it. Split or not for recognition for the influenced revenue could be great to be confirmed.
Is there a way, a report to be able to check which resource by resource my MPN ID is linked as PAL and by which User and which are his/her Roles ?
