Merge two single company in a brand new Company (MPN Merger)

Hi

I have seen many articles for a "two company merger in MPN portal", but we have a little bit a special version.

We are two independent companies today, creating a whole new company (new name, new tenant etc). What are best practices for such a scenario? Also, one company is CSP partner, the other a Tier 1 partner.

What's the best way to proceed? We don't want to consider either company as a PGA1, but rather create a whole new company and merge the benefits of both companies (which are subsequently deleted from the commercial register) into the new one.

Thanks in advanced for your help!! Hope to find someone, who has already this experience on this....

Hi @Corinnas .In this case you could start with creating a new MPN organization first, via this link: https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/dashboard/account/v3/enrollment/joinnow/basicpartnernetwork/new (Use Inprivate /Incognito browser session for this)

You will be asked to enter your work email when doing this, and this should be a working email address with a custom domain that was not used in any AzureAD tenant that is connected to Partner Center right now.

E.g. if you now have PGA1 with contoso.com and PGA2 with adventureworks.com, do the MPN enrollment using another custom domain like fabrikam.com (Custom domain belonging to the new company you want to create). If there is no AzureAD tenant yet for fabrikam.com, it will be created during enrollment, you can also create a new AzureAD tenant first, add this custom domain, and start the enrollment process using the global admin account of this tenant.

During MPN enrollment there will be a business verification step - so the new company should already be launched officially for this to complete.

Once the MPN profile is approved, you can then invite the other PGA for the Partner Center merge process.

The CSP status in each merged company will not change, the management of end customers will still happen from the same tenants/Partner Center where they are currently managed.
