As a Microsoft Partner it's quite likely that you have seen the announcements on the Microsoft Partner Network Program (MPN) evolving into the new Microsoft Cloud Partner Program (MCPP) effective in October 2022. For the Dutch Partner Community, my colleague Daphne van Vliet wrote many updates on this topic including additional sources of information, trainings and events. In this article I wanted to point out what these changes might bring for specifically ISV partners.

  1. For ISV Partners currently active in MPN with Silver or Gold Competency: you will have been updated on the upcoming changes and are likely transitioning into the new MCPP designations. If your existing MPN Competency anniversary date is before 30 September, you can still renew (make sure you do this by 30 September) to retain the benefits associated to your legacy Competency.
  2. For ISV Partners currently using the Microsoft Action Pack: you can continue to leverage these benefits as they are not related to any MPN Competency.
  3. For ISV Partners looking for other, additional Microsoft Partner Programs: as we are continuing to invest in ISV partnering we are launching the ISV Success Program (now available in Western Europe including The Netherlands) to grow your business as an ISV with tailored benefits, powerful tools, one-to-one consultations, and training resources—and for you to gain access to millions of Microsoft customers across the globe through the commercial marketplace. Through these new benefits with the ISV Success Program and improvements to the commercial marketplace, Microsoft is helping ISVs meet customer needs, innovate faster and cost efficiently, go-to-market and grow a thriving business.
  4. For ISV partners who are growing their cloud business with Microsoft and need a higher level of service: we are providing the Advanced Support for Partners Program (ASFP).
