Insights Data Changed "VM Size"?

I export usage data to a csv file every few weeks and noticed a change in the format of some of the output data including the "VM Size" which has gone from including the Azure instance types like "Standard_F8" to a core count i.e. "8core".  This started happening on 4/16 and I'm just wondering if this change was intentional and if there's a way to go back to instance type, or both ideally?
