How to move Exchange mailbox (.edb) in Outlook?

This is my first question on Microsoft Community and I don't think it will be the last. I just got an EDB file which I think is ok I don't mean corrupted. So the problem is that I have Outlook 2013 which allows me to view PST or MSG files.
Now I want to know which method should I try "manual or direct method" to convert EDB file to PST file format? Do I need Exchange Server if I do it manually and what if I do it with software?
