Announcement: Extension of legacy CSP seat-based incentives through December 31, 2022
There has been a recent change on the retirement of legacy CSP seat-based offer incentives which moves the end date of September 30, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
This change was communicated as part of the Jan. 10th GA and reinforced through a partner center announcement on Jan. 13th (see below).
Impacted audience: CSP direct bill partners and indirect providers, and resellers through their indirect providers
Details:
Microsoft will extend partner incentives for legacy seat-based subscriptions for such offers as Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 through the October – December 2022 period (FY23 Q2). Previously, Microsoft had communicated a plan to retire legacy CSP seat-based offer incentives on September 30, 2022, as we transition the business to the new commerce experience (Breadth Motion). This incentives extension will provide additional time for CSP partners to earn incentives on the legacy business while migrating customers to the new commerce experience. This decision applies to all three CSP partner programs (CSP direct bill partner, CSP Indirect Provider, CSP indirect reseller). FY23Q2 legacy CSP seat-based offer incentives will continue to be earned with the current rebate/co-op mix, providing additional co-op funds for usage in H2 FY23 on marketing and readiness investments by eligible partners.
