The path to become a Microsoft ISV Partner and start co-selling


Whether you’re a software or app builder, SaaS company or ISV, as a Microsoft Technology Partner you can develop your business, improve profitability and accelerate sales. The Microsoft ISV Partner Path is a simple 6 step journey for technology partners to accelerate the partnership with Microsoft and promote your solutions to customers via our co-sell program.


Step 1 – Activate free partner account 
Becoming an ISV Technology Partner with Microsoft will help you grow and develop your business. You will gain instant access to exclusive resources, programs, tools, and connections. Join a community designed to foster business growth. The first step is to request a Microsoft Partner Network number and become a partner, all at no cost. Click here to get started on your ISV membership journey. 


Step 2 – Get access to readiness material 
As a member of the Microsoft Partner Network, you gain access to a variety of resources to build your business and solutions, like turnkey marketing and readiness materials, technical courses and certifications, and curated resources to take your solution from idea to market, plus opportunities to enhance your partnership, like a Microsoft Action Pack. 


Value for money is important to us and our partners so when you purchase a Microsoft Action Pack for a discounted annual fee of $475, you supplement your membership with even more resources designed to help your organization continue building.Learn more about the Microsoft Action Pack here. 


Step 3 Solution workspace 
Now that you are a member of the Microsoft Partner Network let’s discuss what steps are next. You will need a roadmap to develop your business. This is why Microsoft has designedsolution workspace – it understands your needs and gives you quick access to the best tools, resources, and expert guidance tailored specifically for your solution. While also allowing you to seamlessly integrate with all Microsoft technology all in one place. Here is how it works: 


  1. Sign in with your Microsoft partner credentials and tell us what you’re building. 
  2. Solution workspace will then generate a checklist of customized resources and actionable tasks for each stage of your solution lifecycle, carefully curated to match your specific needs. 
  3. Once your solution is ready, it provides customized recommendations of resources used by partners across the globe to market your solution while tracking your progress every step of the way. 
  4. Whether you’re building something new, taking your build to market or selling your solution, solution workspace gives you the freedom to go at your pace and provides you with everything you need at every step. 


Step 4 Activate Azure
Now you can join and explore with an Azure free accountHere you can create amazing solutions with powerful capabilities, training, and supportJoin now and get 12 months of popular free cloud service and a $200 credit. If you are seeking assistance or support with your solution, or maybe you need help to build or rebuild, you can reach out to an established ISV partner who will be able to help you. ISV Partners such as CronosDexMach, and Intercept can be of assistance if needed. For example, DexMach’s app modernization process is a 4-step process that enables you to achieve real-world results from enterprise leaders who have already implemented their digital modernization strategies.  


Step 5 - Prepare your marketplace offer
The Cloud Enablement Deskmakes sure you’re ready to sell. The goal of the Cloud Enablement Desk is to provide a guided experience to help partners grow their cloud businesses using the resources and benefits from the Microsoft Partner Network. 


From here partners will be assigned a Cloud Program Specialist (CPS) who can help articulate MPN benefits, guide to competency attainment, facilitate one-on-one sessions with technical experts, drive towards co-sell capability, and more.Your specialist will work with your company for a period of time based on agreed MPN program goals and growth objectives.
