As the push for decarbonization grows stronger, companies are struggling to understand how to prioritize their efforts and ensure that their actions are truly effective in combatting climate change. The We Mean Business Coalition has released a new guide, "The 4 As of Climate Leadership," that outlines the four key areas that companies must focus on in order to deliver on their net-zero commitments and avoid accusations of greenwashing: ambition, action, advocacy, and accountability. Among the strategies discussed are setting science-based targets and using offsets as a tool to increase ambition, as well as addressing issues such as deforestation and disruptions to communities and employees as industries shift away from fossil fuels.
