re:think - the German IAMCP Partner conference was a huge success

The German IAMCP partner conference re:think took place virtually for the first time yesterday. And it was an huge success. With 243 registrations, we far exceeded our expectations and tripled the number of participants compared to last year. "The large attendance shows that there is a great need for exchange and valid first-hand information (Carmen Belasus)". The recipe for success of re:think. is the direct dialogue with Microsoft. We remain true to our principle of "no powerpoint" even in virtual space (Georg Rösch)'.
We were pleased that our chapter president Til Vieregge was able to welcome both the new German OCP manager Andre Kiehne and GTM lead Sebastian Grassl to a panel discussion. Both emphasised how important cooperation between partners will be for business success in the future. Here we as IAMCP are perfectly positioned to enable more business for each member through networking.
In several parallel breakouts, Microsoft employees worked with IAMCP partners to create interactive sessions on trend topics such as "Teams", "Dynamics 365", "Hybrid Approach" and "Security". The event was rounded off by the concluding "Klartext", where members were able to ask questions of the numerous Microsoft employees present. Hot topics such as the ECJ ruling on the privacy shield have been covered. The official statement is now also available https://blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issues/2020/11/19/defending-your-data-edpb-gdpr
The entire format is a good example of how a successful and interactive event can be created for so many participants with the on-board resources of teams.

Thanks to every participant, and if you want to replicate that kind of event in your country we are happy to support you.
