How to close the MPN(Microsoft Partner Account)
Hi,
I am interested to close email account eg. talha@mycomapny.onmicrosoft.com login account and create new MPN account because it was not verified by Microsoft because I had not created any website or business email accounts ever with that company name. I have to do startup with different company name and for that I want to close my talha@mycomapny.onmicrosoft.com because it is not verified an I don't want to go with the name of company which was not officially launched in the market.
Is there any way that I can change the talha@mycomapny.onmicrosoft.com
"my company " part from the email with the new company name and update the existing account with the new company details of which I will create website and official email. if there is not any way to do this then can I permanently close this account?

Thank you to Microsoft support team. I got a call from Microsoft Support based on the ticket i created and the issue is resolved i have successfully deleted the old Azure AD tenant through the guided procedure on call.
I would love to help if I can help someone facing the same issue on this forum.
Thank you Sir @JanoschUlmer and Mam @Andra always here and tried to solve my query.

Hi @talhamughal ,
For the business verification please see guidance above.
Once you have validated your membership, please read more about the available CSP models.
You should establish relationships with distributors, you can filter by country here to find distributors in your area: https://devicepartner.microsoft.com/en-us/connect/distributor
please note I have removed your PII content from this thread to protect your data.
Feel free to use direct messaging on MPC to share this information.
Thank you,
Andra

Mam i just logged into my previous account which i intended to close and for which i posted a question here.
As Sir @JanoschUlmer replied earlier related to my actual question that "you can not change mycompany.onmicrosoft.com to myothercompany.onmicrosoft.com " so when i logged in to my previous account to see what its type is so there it's showing me global admin.
Actually my intention was to close that account as i had not created email accounts with that old company name and its verification was also failed due to i had no business email. so i thought not to go with that and registered a domain and created business emails with another company name as it's my start up so i created my new account again to register as CSP reseller. as @JanoschUlmer sir said that for that you need to create a new AzureAD tenant/account if you want to change the mycompanyxyz@onmicrosoft.com with new company name.
But i don't know what i did wrong and how to fix it as i am the admin for the registered account and company.

Thank you sir for guiding me 🙂
I have just applied for the new MPN but it got failed in business verification process. Although i have put all the details and i am unable to guess it got failed. My primary email was verified. I feel that i had not update the address on the website and in my account i have given the complete address which is my current address that's why it could be failed . I got the following error:
Business Verification
* We were not able to verify your business details. Please work with your Primary Contact/Global Admin to get this fixed
As i have updated the address on the website as well with the one i have provided in the account creation.
Can you please guide me what could be the actual reason behind that?
What should i do to restart the verification process again if i fixed the problems?
Thank you to be in touch with me.

You need to log in with an account that has global admin permissions, and go to the Partner Profile settings in Partner Center - the global admin should see some guidance on what to do next (usually an option for uploading verification documents as proof or opening a support ticket).

If you go to Partner Center --> Settings --> Partner Profile with this Global Admin account, what do you see? Can you post a screenshot? The message you posted above - "We were not able to verify your business details. Please work with your Primary Contact/Global Admin to get this fixed" - indicates you are not a global admin with the currently logged in user.

Hi @talhamughal : You can add your custom domain to the existing account: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/fundamentals/add-custom-domain; - so adding "mycompany.com" to mycompany.onmicrosoft.com. After that you can also change the user's upn to this new custom domain if you want.
Then you might want to review if the organization information in this AzureAD tenant is showing correct info: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/manage/change-address-contact-and-more?view=o365-worldwide
Finally, you can update the organization information & Primary Contact in Partner Center : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/update-your-partner-profile and thereby business details will again be verified.
Note : you can not change mycompany.onmicrosoft.com to myothercompany.onmicrosoft.com - if you want to do this, you need to create a new AzureAD tenant/account.
