Server 2012R2 With Exchange 2013 . How to disable exchange completly
Hello,
I have the following problem . A Server 2012R2 where Exchange 2013 is installed worked fine but the client wanted the mailboxes moved to Office 365. So the same email adresses (same domain of course) is now on office 365.
The local Exchange that is installed on the 2012R2 server is not used anymore . At this time it is giving some problems i think because the mail adresses are configured in the local server. Sometimes when starting the local office that has a connection to Office 365 not to the local exchange anymore gives messagages 'your mailbox temporarily moved on Microsoft Exchange Server' and asked to Use Temp mailbox or Old Data .
At that time i recreate a new profile to the office 365 and the problem is gone for a while but after a short time it is there again.
So i am not shure can i completly remove the exchange or disable it ? so that there is no connection anymore to the exchange local server
Thanks
Best regards
Didier

If the server is no longer used why not turn it off?
