Virtual Training - Power Apps Partner Airlift

You’re Invited to attend a deep dive Virtual series - Power Platform – Power Apps Partners Airlift


This Airlift event offers an in-depth overview of Power Apps that will prepare you to effectively envision specific business solutions. You will learn how to:

  • Build canvas apps and model driven apps and will take a deep dive into Common data services.
  • Build and use model-driven apps which includes creating a publisher and a solution as well as entities, fields and relationships.
  • Leverage Power Apps Build Tools to automate deployment steps. 
  • Support your governance initiatives by using the Center of Excellence toolkit which provides a series of Power Platform templates.
  • Enable self-service interactions and real-time Power Apps experiences for external users also known as Power Apps Portals.

The first execution of these sessions offers a live chat-based Q&A. Once the first execution is completed, these sessions will be available on-demand (within 24 hours).


Who Should Attend:

This training is highly recommended for those who have taken exam MB-200: Microsoft Power Platform + Dynamics 365 Core and have an upcoming Power Apps customer project. For example:

  • Power Platform functional consultants
  • Dynamics 365 apps solution architects
  • Technical consultants who need to support the previous roles. Thus, they need to learn application solution architecture concepts for building solutions on Power Platform.


Important note: This training has specific prerequisites, you are responsible for fulling them before the start to obtain the most benefits from your attendance (see prerequisites below).

  • Students should have 1-2 years of Power Apps experience.
  • Should have taken exam MB-200: Microsoft Power Platform + Dynamics 365 Core (passed or fail) certification or equivalent certification
  • Minimum: To make the most of this training it is highly recommended for students to complete the following Beginner track (Power Apps and Power Automate beginner learning path) and earn the corresponding badges.

  • Overview of Power Platform
  • Understanding environments and their management
  • What is Common Data Service, discuss Data Modeling and the different relationship scenarios


July 28, 2020:  Security Modeling, working with Common Data Service (CDS) and Canvas Apps

Agenda: (2 Hours 45 Minutes)

  • Review security modeling
  • Working with CDS Solutions
  • Canvas Apps


July 29, 2020:  Building Model Driven apps including Automation

Agenda: (2 Hours)

  • Model Driven Apps: understanding Key Features, Form Types, and working with Views
  • Automation Options: Business Rules, Business Process Flows and assigning them to Record Types


July 30, 2020:  Reusable Components and Integrating Apps

Agenda: (1 Hour 15 Minutes)

  • Reusable components in Canvas Apps -  Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) including Galleries and Forms
  • Embedding Canvas Apps in Model Driven Apps and Power BI


July 31, 2020:  AI Builder and Power Apps Portals

Agenda: (1 Hour 45 Minutes)

  • Work with AI builder: building model and training a model
  • Overview of Power Apps portals, create a portal and manage a portal’s basic configuration
