LAUNCH: Nonprofit Tech Acceleration for Black and African American Communities Program
Aligning with Microsoft’s overall commitment to finding new ways to combat racial injustice, the Tech for Social Impact team is utilizing Microsoft’s technology and services to provide minority-focused nonprofits the critical services and support at a local community level that is needed to drive change. To this end, we’ve launched the Nonprofit Tech Acceleration for Black and African American Communities (NTA for short). The program’s focus is to match nonprofits that serve Black and African American communities with the technology support they need to further their mission work.
The NTA program is reaching both broadly and deeply to provide the best technology solutions for the needs of these communities. From a depth perspective, we are actively engaged with several strategic organizations—two of which (Prosecutor Impact and the National Society of Black Engineers) have already been matched with a technology partner and are scoping their digital transformation plans. More broadly, we are offering smaller community-based nonprofits assistance with their technology needs of varying sizes.
Ways to get involved:
- If you are interested in offering your professional services as an NTA partner, please email TSIPComm and indicate the technologies (Modern Work, Power Platform, Azure, etc) in which you specialize.
- If you know of a nonprofit who could benefit from this program, please encourage them to register with our Onboarding Concierge team. The Concierge team will work with each organization to provide tailored tools, licenses, and technical support.
