IMPORTANT COMPLIANCE SKU UPDATE. Please read!

In February, we communicated to you the repackaging of our Microsoft 365 E5 Compliance value – including a planned increase to the price for the Microsoft 365 E5/A5 Compliance add-on – to reflect the new products and value being added to the SKU.

 

UPDATE: Given the difficult economic situation and current health crisis, we are no longer moving forward with this price increase. The commercial estimated retail price (ERP) for Microsoft 365 E5 Compliance will remain US$10 per user, per month. Microsoft 365 A5 Compliance prices for Education customers also will not change. The April Volume Licensing pricelists will not reflect the corrected price; however, orders placed will receive the correct price. This will be fixed in May pricelists.

 

The other repackaging updates that were planned – such as adding new products and value to Microsoft 365 E5/A5 Compliance add-on, and providing more choice with new Microsoft 365 E5 “mini suite” add-ons – will continue to launch on April 1.

 

In summary, here’s what’s changing on April 1:

 

1. Repackaging the Microsoft 365 E5/A5 Compliance SKU with new value, including:

  • Advanced Auditing
  • Insider Risk Management
  • Communication Compliance
  • Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS)

     

    2. Making it easier for customers to customize and choose the new Microsoft 365 E5 Compliance “mini-suite” add-ons:

    • Information Protection and Governance (US$7 per user, per month)
    • Insider Risk Management (US$6 per user, per month)
    • eDiscovery and Audit (US$6 per user, per month)

       

      3. Sunsetting Office 365 Advanced Compliance and Azure Information Protection (AIP) Plan 2 SKUs.

       

      We remain committed to helping our customers through this challenging time. As organizations look to save money and enable employees to be more productive while they work from home, we see strong customer demand for solutions that enable remote work in a secure and compliant way (for example, Teams DLP or Communication Compliance) and can provide costs savings by helping to consolidate vendors (for example, Advanced eDiscovery).
